Is Anybody There? (2008)

OH BOY what a cheerful and happy movie.  It’s all about a 10-year-old boy who lives in an old folks home with his parents.  Because of the rampant death that surrounds the elderly, he becomes obsessed with the afterlife.  Michael Caine soon arrives, charms the place up with his charming ways, and becomes the focal point of our story.  Because he’s old and soon to die.

Y’know, there’s not a lot of snark that I can write about this movie.  I mean, I’m not an asshole.  It’s a decent enough British movie about ghosthunting… well not really, more like aging with grace… well, not really.. more like aging and being pissed about it.  And being Michael Caine.  I have nothing bad to say about the movie, other than most people won’t enjoy it, although I certainly did.  It’s not bad at all, just not for everyone.
