The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006)

The third in the Fast & Furious Franchise, and the first one to somewhat deviate from the norm.  NO PAUL WALKER, HURRAH!  That is A Good Thing.  The third in the Quintology or whatever it’s going to end up being called takes the setting to Tokyo, a little heard of city in the heretofore unknown country of Japan.  Their largest natural resource is apparently neon, and they are not shy about advertising it.  Apparently their cars are from the future and have the ability to “drift” as it were.  Some dude from Alabama wrecks his car in the U S of A and gets sent to this crazy country of Japan as punishment, where I am told he can buy used undergarments out of vending machines.  WHAT AN AGE WE LIVE IN.  More very plastic-looking cars are raced and wrecked and the American Hero learns a lesson about himself or honour or some shit.

2.5 / 5
