March 2011 Movies

Just going to post my year to date, month by month movies I’ve watched and how I’d rank them for the month.

1. The Fighter – excellent, Bale deserved his Oscar, as did Leo
2. 127 Hours – still haven’t seen King’s Speech, but Franco should have won Best Actor
3. Buried – Ryan Reynolds in a coffin for an hour and a half is surprisingly engaging
4. Love & Other Drugs – I really loved this movie
5. Hereafter – well-made but not for everyone, character drama
6. Middle Men – highly enjoyable
7. Waiting for “Superman” – inspirational and occasionally depressing
8. Monsters
9. Tamara Drewe
10. It’s Kind of a Funny Story
11. The Soloist
12. The Aristocrats
13. The Next Three Days
14. Inside Job – Oscar winner for Best Doc but I didn’t hold it that high in regard
15. Faster
16. Morning Glory
17. Wild Target
18. Every Day
19. The Romantics
20. Jack Goes Boating
21. The Taking of Pelham 123 (remake)
22. Downloading Nancy – wholly depressing and dark and made me feel miserable
23. State of Play
24. The Horde
25. Cargo
26. Tales From Earthsea – the apple falls far from the Miyazaki tree
27. Fast Food Nation
28. Lennon Naked – Ecclestone’s performance was great, but the movie just average
29. Amelia
30. Miami Vice – seriously, fuck this terribly boring and long movie
31. Dorian Gray – Ben Barnes is so fucking bland and boring
